Pedestrian Suffers Major Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Car on Imperial Avenue in Mountain View Neighborhood

 
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (July 4, 2022) – A 38-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Imperial Avenue in the Mountain View neighborhood on Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:48 p.m. on July 1, in the 4000 block of Imperial Avenue near South 40th Street. According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was walking eastbound when a newer white Chevrolet Camaro hit him. The driver then fled the scene.
 
First responders rushed the man to a hospital for treatment of major but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police do not have a description of the driver at this time.
