Man Suffers Serious Fractures after Hit by Jeep on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in Ocean Beach

 
OCEAN BEACH, CA (January 3, 2023) – A man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in the Ocean Beach neighborhood Friday evening on December 30.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the 28-year-old man was crossing Coronado Avenue on the east side of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard when a Jeep Gladiator hit him. The Jeep was heading south Sunset Cliffs and turned left onto Coronado.
 
The pedestrian sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries including fractures on his upper arm and forearm.
 
The driver, a 32-year-old man, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The San Diego Police Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
