Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries after Hit by Pickup Truck on Rosecrans Street in Midway District

 
MIDWAY DISTRICT, CA (January 17, 2022) – A man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Rosecrans Street in Midway District on Thursday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:40 p.m. on January 13, just north of Sports Arena Boulevard. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 50-year-old man was crossing the street in an unmarked crosswalk. At the same time, a 2002 Ford F-150 was heading north on Rosecrans and had just passed through a green light at Sports Arena when it struck the victim.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian multiple fractures to his upper and lower body. Responding paramedics took him to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck, a 45-year-old man, was unhurt.
