Pedestrian Suffers Major Injuries after Struck by Vehicle on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach

 
PACIFIC BEACH, CA (May 27, 2024) – A 23-year-old man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach early Friday morning on May 24.
 
The accident happened around 12:39 a.m. in the 1400 block of Grand Avenue. According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was running across Grand Avenue into the path of a vehicle when he was struck.
 
A 26-year-old male driver of a 2019 Toyota Corolla was in the westbound lane and was unable to stop in time.
 
As a result of the crash, the pedestrian sustained a large laceration to his right groin area requiring surgery.
