RIVERSIDE, CA (July 26, 2021) – A man sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on 215 Freeway Friday, July 16.

The accident happened around 11:45 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, between Blaine Street and Third Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking down the middle of the freeway when a passing big rig struck him.

It is unclear at this time why the pedestrian was in the middle of the freeway. An investigation is underway.
