70-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Motorcycle Accident on Friars Road in Mission Valley

 
MISSION VALLEY, CA (February 7, 2022) – A 70-year-old man sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on Friars Road, Friday afternoon.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on February 4 at about 1:25 p.m. A 2004 Honda Element that was leaving a parking spot attempted to make a U-turn. Then, the vehicle collided with a westbound motorcycle in the No. 2 lane.
 
Emergency crews transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of serious leg injuries. As per reports, the man sustained an open compound fracture to the left humerus, a closed fracture of the left radius, and an open fracture to the left tibia and fibula.
 
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Honda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
