Pedestrian Suffers Fractures and Brain Bleed after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Copley Park Place in Kearny Mesa

 
KEARNY MESA, CA (April 27, 2023) – A 37-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash near Copley Park Place in Kearny Mesa on Monday.
 
Just before midnight on April 24, the victim was walking near 7400 Copley Park Place when a vehicle struck him, according to the San Diego Police Department.
 
After striking the victim, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the man to a hospital who suffered a brain bleed and seven fractured ribs. The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.
 
At this time, there were no descriptions of the driver or vehicle.
 
The SDPD’s Traffic Division is still investig ating and searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
