Man on Scooter Hit near Watt Avenue Among Pedestrian Accidents in Arden-Arcade
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (November 11, 2024) — A man riding a scooter was hit near Watt Avenue and Kings Way, just blocks from Arden Way, where a driver struck two children.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the first pedestrian accident happened around 6:16 a.m. Thursday. A man in his 30s traveling southbound on Watt Avenue ran a red light. Subsequently, the driver hit a pedestrian on a scooter heading eastbound on Kings Way. The victim, also described as a man in his 30, suffered major wounds and received hospital care after the accident.
Officers ruled out impairment as a possible factor in this accident, but an investigation continues.
The second pedestrian crash happened around 8:00 a.m. when a woman in her 30s heading westbound on Arden Way struck two children. The children suffered minor injuries in the crash, which occurred south of Markston Road.
