Driver Having Medical Episode Dies after Rear-Ending Another Vehicle on Park Avenue in Chico

 
CHICO, CA (September 13, 2022) – A man died in a two-vehicle accident at Park Avenue and Carmichael Drive in Chico on Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on September 7. According to the Chico Police Department, a sedan rear-ended a pickup truck at the intersection.
 
Police said the driver of the sedan appeared to be having a medical episode. He was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available. An investigation is underway.
