20-Year-Old Indio Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Lear Avenue near 2 Mile Road in Twentynine Palms

 
TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (May 13, 2022) – A 20-year-old Indio man died in a two-vehicle accident on Lear Avenue on Thursday morning.
 
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened on May 12 at about 10:38 a.m.
 
A southbound Subaru wagon reportedly hit the rear of a Caterpillar road grader tractor that was waiting to make a left turn onto 2 Mile Road.
 
Emergency crews later pronounced the Subaru driver dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the road grader did not sustain injuries.
