Two-Vehicle Accident near Christy Street in Fremont Kills 1 Driver

 
FREMONT, CA (January 9, 2022) – A man died in a two-vehicle accident near Christy Street and Stewart Avenue in Fremont Friday.
 
The accident happened around noon on January 7, in an area of office parks and warehouses west of 880 Freeway. According to the Fremont Police Department, a gray Volkswagen Passat collided with a semi-trailer that was parked on the north shoulder of Stewart Avenue. The impact pushed the semi partially onto the street curb.
 
When police arrived, they found the male driver of the Volkswagen suffering from fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the deceased were not immediately available.
 
Stewart Avenue was partially closed between Christy and Albrae streets for the investigation.
