Two-Vehicle Accident at Avenue 336 and Road 162 in Ivanhoe Kills 1 Driver

 
IVANHOE, CA (August 31, 2021) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Avenue 336 and Road 162 in Tulare County Monday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 2:37 p.m. on August 30 near Ivanhoe. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving westbound on Avenue 336 when he veered onto the shoulder of the roadway for unknown reasons. He overcorrected to the left and ended up crossing into the eastbound lane of traffic. An oncoming SUV then struck his vehicle.
 
When officers arrived, they found the man pinned inside his vehicle and suffering from fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Authorities only identified the victim as a 38-year-old West Hollywood resident. They will release his name once family members are properly notified.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing. Officers say it does not appear the victim was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call Officer Villalobos at (559) 734-6767.
