STOCKTON, CA (August 10, 2022) – A man died in a two-car accident on Turnpike Road in Stockton on Saturday afternoon, August 6.
 
Around 4:30 p.m., officers from the Stockton Police Department responded to the 3100 block of South Turnpike Road near the 5 Freeway after receiving reports of a traffic collision involving two cars.
 
According to police, both male drivers were injured in the crash and taken to area hospitals for treatment.
 
Sadly, one of the drivers did not survive and was declared dead at the hospital. He was 33 years old.
 
Officers believe speed played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
