Two-Car Accident on Cambridge Drive in Alameda Kills One and Seriously Injures Another

 
ALAMEDA, CA (September 8, 2021) – A man was killed in a two-car accident on Cambridge Drive in Alameda Monday evening.
 
The accident happened just after 8:00 p.m. on September 6 on Cambridge Drive near Fernside Boulevard. According to the Alameda Police Department, a car was speeding through a stop sign when it collided into an SUV. The impact sent the SUV flying off the road and into a residential home. It then landed in a yard at the intersection.
 
As a result, the male driver of the SUV suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
Another man sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Police closed Cambridge Drive and Fernside Boulevard for hours to investigate the scene.
