Three-Vehicle Accident on North Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos Kills One

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (February 9, 2022) – A 59-year-old man was killed in a three-vehicle accident on North Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos on Monday morning.
 
The accident happened just before 6:30 a.m. on February 7. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the man was driving his 2001 Honda Civic when he pulled into a traffic lane in the 400 block of North Twin Oaks Valley Road.
 
A northbound 1999 Toyota 4Runner SUV struck the victim’s car. The impact sent the Civic into a late-model BMW 328i.
 
The man driving the Civic was rushed to a hospital, where he later died. His name was withheld pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the other two drivers involved were unhurt.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
