Three-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway in San Dimas Kills 64-Year-Old Man

 
SAN DIMAS, CA (September 20, 2021) – A man was killed in a three-vehicle accident on San Bernardino (10) Freeway in San Dimas early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 4:45 a.m. on September 19, on the westbound freeway at Kellogg Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2013 Toyota Corolla when he collided with a 2002 Honda Accord.
 
After the initial crash, the Corolla became disabled in the second lane of the freeway. A 2010 Ford Fusion then struck the disabled Toyota and the victim as he was exiting his car.
 
The impact caused the man fatal injuries. Another unknown vehicle also struck the victim and fled the scene.
 
Authorities identified the victim as a 62-year-old Pomono resident.
 
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old male driver of the Fusion suffered lacerations to his head and left hand. Paramedics transported him to Pomona Valley Hospital for treatment.
 
This fatal crash is under investigation. The CHP’s Baldwin Park office urged anyone with information to call them at 626-338-1164.
