Man Dies, Woman Suffers Major Injuries in Suspected DUI Accident near Fowler and Harlan Avenues

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 29, 2021) – A man was killed in a suspected DUI accident near Fowler Avenue and Harlan Avenue Monday evening.
 
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on June 28, just outside the town of Laton. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Ford Ranger pickup northbound on Fowler when he crossed over the center divider and collided head-on with a black Chrysler in the southbound lane.
 
The impact caused the man fatal injuries and he died at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted the female driver of the Chrysler to Community Regional Medical with major injuries.
 
A man in the passenger seat of the Chrysler sustained minor injuries.
 
Officers said several beer cans were scattered around the Ford pickup after the crash. They added that all parties involved were wearing seat belts.
 
Further investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
