Man Dead in Calexico Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 98
CALEXICO, CA (March 29, 2021) — A man died in a semi-truck accident on Highway 98 near Vencil Road Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 1:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Toyota Camry failed to yield behind a semi-truck traveling ahead of him. While traveling at an unknown speed, the 36-year-old man subsequently collided with the big rig.
As a result, the Toyota driver died from his injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old driver in the semi-truck avoided harm in the accident.
