RAMONA, CA (September 16, 2021) — A man died in a rollover accident on Highway 78 near Rancho Santa Teresa Drive Tuesday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle accident occurred around 8:10 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver of a Chevrolet 1500 truck failed to negotiate a curve on the highway. Subsequently, the Chevrolet veered off the road and rolled down an embankment where he was ejected from the vehicle.
 
Soon after, Fire Department officials responded to attempt life-saving measures. However, the man, a Santa Ysabel resident, died despite these efforts.
 
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old passenger inside the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
At this time, the details and cause of this accident require further investigation. Therefore, anyone with more information on this crash should contact the CHP.
