41-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies in Oakland Hit-and-Run on Park Boulevard
OAKLAND, CA (May 13, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run on Park Boulevard in Oakland Sunday afternoon, May 9.
According to the Oakland Police Department, the man was standing on the sidewalk in the 3800 block of Park Boulevard, possibly waiting for a bus, when a northbound Lexus GS struck him around 5:14 p.m.
The vehicle did not stop after the crash, leaving the pedestrian with major trauma. It then hit two parked vehicles, police said. The man driving the car ran away from the scene.
Responding paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital, where he later died. Authorities only identified him as a 41-year-old Oakland resident.
