Hit-and-Run Driver Kills Pedestrian on King Road in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (August 2, 2021) – A man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on King Road in San Jose early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on August 1, near the intersection with Story Road. According to the San Jose Police Department, the man was walking between crosswalks on northbound King Road when a vehicle struck him. The driver then fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Th victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release his identity once his family members are notified.
 
Police did not immediately provide any details on the hit-and-run driver who remains at large.
