Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver along Florin Road in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 15, 2022) – A man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Florin Road in south Sacramento early Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:10 a.m. along the westbound Florin Road, just east of Bowling Drive. Officers someone came across the body in the street and called 911.
 
When officers arrived, they confirmed that the male pedestrian was already dead. the victim appeared to have been struck by a car that fled the scene.
 
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once family members are properly notified.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large and detectives are still looking for any possible witnesses.
 
The California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento division is handling the investigation.
