Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on 880 Freeway

 
OAKLAND, CA (November 16, 2021) — A man died in Sunday’s pedestrian crash on the 880 Freeway near 7th Street.
 
According to reports, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 6:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a man began walking in the traffic lanes in an unknown condition. Subsequently, an oncoming Toyota pickup struck the pedestrian in the No. 1 lane.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived and confirmed that the man had suffered fatal injuries. Meanwhile, police interviewed the driver and ruled out impairment as a possible source.
