Pedestrian Dies after Struck by SUV on Taylor Street in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (March 20, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Taylor Street and Cresthaven Drive in Vista on Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on March 17. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the victim was crossing eastbound of Taylor Street when a Ford Escape struck him.
 
First responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
