Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on South Towne Avenue in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (May 30, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on South Towne Avenue in Pomona on Sunday evening, May 29.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:28 p.m., according to the Pomona Police Department. Officers responded and found the male pedestrian lying unresponsive in the 1600 block of South Towne Avenue.
 
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
The male driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers, police said.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was involved.
