Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on South King Road in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 17, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on South King Road in San Jose on Monday afternoon, May 16.
 
The accident happened around 12:35 p.m. According to the San Jose Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking in the 2500 block of South King Road when a vehicle struck him.
 
Paramedics immediately responded and took the pedestrian to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but was stabilized. However, the victim’s condition deteriorated later in the day and died at the hospital.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
This fatality is still under investigation.
