SANTA CLARA, CA (December 7, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on San Tomas Expressway in Santa Clara on Sunday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:09 p.m. on December 5. According to the Santa Clara Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking in the northbound lanes when a vehicle struck him.
 
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Crews closed the northbound San Tomas Expressway between Scott Blvd and Central Expressway while they cleared the wreckage.
 
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
