Elderly Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Rosemead Boulevard in Arcadia

 
ARCADIA, CA (May 22, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Rosemead Boulevard in Arcadia on Saturday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:33 p.m. on May 21, at the 210 Freeway on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian in his 70s was walking on the freeway on-ramp when a vehicle struck him.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian fatal injuries and he died at the scene. However, his identity was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the Rosemead Boulevard on-ramp to the eastbound Foothill Freeway for the investigation.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
