Fatal Fairfield Pedestrian Accident on North Texas Street near Pacific Avenue and Alaska Avenue

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (March 21, 2022) – A man died in a pedestrian accident on North Texas Street, early Friday morning.
 
According to the Fairfield Police Department, the incident happened on March 18 at about 6:23 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit the pedestrian in the 2200 block of North Texas Street.
 
Emergency responders located the wounded victim near Pacific Avenue and Alaska Avenue. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where he later died.
 
Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Officers temporarily closed North Texas Avenue to make way for an investigation.
 
Fairfield police ruled out impairment and speed as factors in the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
