Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Mission Gorge Road in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 30, 2021) – A man died Friday night after a pedestrian accident on Mission Gorge Road in San Diego’s Grantville neighborhood.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was crossing the westbound lanes in the 6100 block of Mission Gorge Road, just north of Twain Avenue. A 2018 Nissan Altima, driven by a 39-year-old woman then struck him around 7:50 p.m., March 26.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene. He was not publicly identified.
 
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Police said alcohol or drugs were not suspected to be a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
