Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on Mesa Verde Road in King City

 
KING CITY, CA (April 14, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Mesa Verde Road and Wild Horse Road in King City on Tuesday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:58 p.m. on April 11. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was walking in the middle of the intersection when a black Nissan Altima struck him.
 
The driver told officers that the area was too dark and it was too late to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
 
Paramedics attempted saving the victim, but he died at the scene.
 
No identification was immediately available. The circumstances of this fatality remain under investigation.
