SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (April 26, 2021) – A man died in a pedestrian accident at Main Street and 84th Street Sunday evening, April 25.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident happened around 9:40 p.m. A vehicle was heading northbound on Main Street when it hit the male pedestrian, who was walking westbound outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
