Vehicle Fatally Strikes Pedestrian on Highway 259 in San Bernardino

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 30, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 259 in San Bernardino Saturday evening on May 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:12 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway near the 30th Street on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was walking on the freeway when a silver vehicle struck him.
 
After the crash, the driver of the involved vehicle pulled over to the right shoulder and waited for first responders to arrive.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
This fatality is still be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
