Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Sedan on Highway 180 in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 2, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 180 in Fresno County late Wednesday evening on May 31.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. at Bryan Avenue northeast of Kearney Park. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was crossing the highway, but ended up in the path of an eastbound Honda Accord.
 
Officers believe the driver did not have enough time to avoid the crash, and struck the victim.
 
The man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene He was not yet identified.
 
Officers said the man was wearing dark clothing, and that there is no lighting at that intersection.
 
The driver remained on scnee and cooperated with investigation.
