Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Truck on Highway 180 in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (May 30, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 180 in Fresno on Sunday morning, May 29.
 
The accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. at Blackstone Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was running from the north shoulder to the center divider when a truck hit him in the second lane.
 
Arriving paramedics rushed the pedestrian to Community Regional Medical Center, where the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Authorities said the man was someone in his 30s. They did not release his identity pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver has stayed after the crash. Further investigation is underway.
