Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 18

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (July 27, 2021) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 18 near Corwin Road Saturday night.
 
According to officials, the deadly crash happened around 10:44 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 2016 Kia Forte, whose driver tried to swerve, struck a pedestrian in the westbound lanes of the highway.
 
As a result, the victim suffered major injuries and died from his injuries. Authorities will release his name once his family has been notified.
 
Shortly after the crash, the 30-year-old woman driving the Kia contacted 911 immediately. Soon after, paramedics and authorities arrived and treated her at the scene for minor injuries.
