72-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed by Car on Hampton Oak Drive in Elk Grove

 
ELK GROVE, CA (November 3, 2022) – A 72-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Hampton Oak Drive on Wednesday morning.
 
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the incident happened on November 2 at about 7:20 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a westbound Nissan Altima hit the victim near Canyon View Drive.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Investigators believe that speed and impairment were not factors in the collision.
 
Elk Grove police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
