Man in Wheelchair Hit and Killed by 2 vehicles on Euclid Street in Fountain Valley

 
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (July 12, 2021) – A man in a wheelchair died in a pedestrian accident at Euclid Street and Warner Avenue early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 2:30 a.m. on July 10. According to the Fountain Valley Police Department, the man was attempting to cross Euclid street westbound when a northbound minivan struck him. While the victim was down on the roadway, an SUV also hit him.
 
First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim was identified by police as a man in his 50s.
 
The drivers of both vehicles stopped and cooperated with investigators. It was determined they were not driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
 
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
