Fatal Pedestrian Accident on East Grand Avenue near Forbes Boulevard in South San Francisco

 
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 28, 2022) – A man was killed following a pedestrian accident on East Grand Avenue on Thursday morning.
 
According to the South San Francisco Fire Department, the incident happened on January 27 at about 6:25 a.m. Investigators believe that the pedestrian attempted to cross outside of a marked crosswalk and against a red light.
 
Then, a westbound vehicle approaching a green light hit the pedestrian near Forbes Boulevard.
 
Emergency crews rushed the pedestrian to a local hospital, where he later died. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
