Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (August 24, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach late Sunday evening, August 21.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:30 p.m. just south of Ellis Avenue. According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the 42-year-old pedestrian was walking outside of a crosswalk when a 2008 Toyota Camry traveling north on Beach Boulevard struck him.
 
First responders rushed the man to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of his family members.
 
The driver of the Camry, a 42-year-old woman from Hemet, remained on scene and fully cooperated with officers.
 
Impairment did not appear to be a factor with the driver, police said.
 
An investigation is underway. Police urged anyone with further information to call them at 714-536-5670.
