LANCASTER, CA (March 26, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Avenue J east of 70th Street East in Lancaster Thursday morning, March 25.
 
The accident happened around 5:00 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
First responders provided aid on the pedestrian, but he died at the scene. Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of his family members.
 
The motorist stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
CHP officials did not rule out alcohol and/or drugs as factors in the crash. They asked anyone with information on the case to call the Antelope Valley CHP office at 661-948-8541.
