CARSON, CA (January 6, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on the 405 Freeway near Vermont Avenue, early Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 4:40 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a vehicle struck a pedestrian on the southbound freeway near Vermont Avenue.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the victim died at the scene. His name has not been released to the public.
 
At this time, authorities have not determined what led to the accident. However, any witnesses of the crash should contact the CHP.
