Man Dies in Pedestrian Crash on 15 Freeway

 
WILDOMAR, CA (January 4, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on the 15 Freeway near Wildomar Trail on Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 10:40 a.m. For unknown reasons, a man standing on the northbound shoulder of the freeway ran into the right side of an oncoming 2016 Freightliner.
 
Subsequently, the 61-year-old Victorville man operating the semi-truck slammed into the pedestrian with a force that threw him into the No. 3 lane.
 
Shortly after, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead. His name has not been released by authorities.
 
At this time, officers have not disclosed information on what led to the pedestrian accident. However, any witnesses with information should reach out to the police.
