Man Dies in Bakersfield Overturned Car Crash on Morning Drive

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 18, 2022) — A man died in an overturned car accident on Morning Drive near College Avenue on Sunday night.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police, the fatal single-car crash occurred around 9:02 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver lost control while heading southbound on Morning Drive. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned several times and pinned an occupant underneath.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and treated three women with minor to moderate injuries.
 
At this time, officers believe DUI and speed may have contributed to the accident. However, an ongoing investigation into the details should confirm the cause.
