Early Multi-Vehicle Accident on 405 Freeway in Culver City Kills One

CULVER CITY, CA (December 14, 2021) – A man was killed in a multiple-vehicle accident on San Diego (405) Freeway in Culver City, early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:50 a.m. on December 13 at the Jefferson Boulevard on-ramp. According to California Highway Patrol, a big rig and two sedans collided for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, a male occupant suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. It is unclear if he was one of the drivers or a passenger.
 
Crews issued a SigAlert in the area, shutting down the Jefferson Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 405 Freeway while they cleared the wreckage.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available. Further investigation is underway.
