Rider Dies after Colliding with Car along Phelan Road

 
PHELAN, CA (June 27, 2022) – A man died in a motorcycle accident along Phelan Road on Friday night, June 24.
 
The accident happened around 6:08 p.m. just east of Baldy Mesa Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man and his wife were out riding on two separate Harley Davidson motorcycles. For unknown reasons, a brown 2014 Kia Optima collided with the man’s motorcycle.
 
Bystanders performed chest compressions on the male rider before emergency crews arrived.
 
Responding firefighters pronounced the man dead at the scene. The victim’s identity will be released by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
 
The crash closed the Phelan Road in both directions between Baldy Mesa and Barada Road for several hours.
 
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation into this fatal crash.
