Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Pelandale Avenue in Modesto
MODESTO, CA (March 12, 2021) – A man was killed Thursday night after a motorcycle accident on Pelandale Avenue at Tully Road.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the accident happened shortly before 6:00 p.m., March 4.
Police said the man was riding a Suzuki GSX-R750 westbound on Pelandale approaching Tully. At the same time, 58-year-old Sangker Sinthavong was driving a 2021 Nissan Versa that had been stopped at the intersection in the designated left-turn lane.
For unknown reasons, the motorcycle collided with the Nissan in the intersection. The impact ejected the rider from his bike and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, Sinthavong did not sustain any injuries.
Authorities have not yet identified the rider pending family notification.
