Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Tanker Truck on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma

 
PETALUMA, CA (August 31, 2021) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 11:05 a.m. on August 27, at the intersection with Stage Gulch Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound when he went through a stop sign at the intersection. He then slammed into the side of a big rig tanker truck.
 
Emergency crews immediately responded, but the motorcyclist already died at the scene.
 
The unidentified victim was visiting from Massachusetts, and his brother was riding with him on another motorcycle.
