Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 14 in Antelope Valley

 
ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA (June 13, 2021) – A 59-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 14 in Antelope Valley late Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:49 p.m. on June 12, along the southbound Aerospace (14) Highway south of Avenue A. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was riding a 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite when he allowed his motorcycle to rear-end a 2017 Harley-Davidson Road Glide.
 
As a result of the impact, the motorcycles overturned ejecting both riders. The 59-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the other rider, a 47-year-old man from Los Angeles, to Antelope Valley Hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Crews closed both southbound and northbound lanes of the highway while they cleared the wreckage.
 
At this time, the cause and factors of the crash are under investigation. The CHP’s Antelope Valley office urged anyone with further information to call them at 661-948-8541.
