Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 138 near Summit Valley Road [Hesperia, CA]

Rider Dies after Colliding with Car on Highway 138 in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (August 30, 2022) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 138 in Hesperia on Sunday morning, August 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:12 a.m. just east of Summit Valley Road near Little Horsethief Canyon Road. According to the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station, the 24-year-old victim from Crestline was riding his white 2014 BMW S1000RR motorcycle with another rider on a Honda motorcycle.
 
For unknown reasons, the BMW motorcycle drove into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the Toyota. The rider sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the rider on the Honda motorcycle fell off his bike and suffered severe injuries. He was transported to a trauma center, where he remains in critical condition.
 
The driver of the Toyota, a 21-year-old woman from Bloomington, did not sustain any injuries.
 
Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
